Welcome to the home of 3D Race Team. The team is comprised of three micro sprint drivers. Paul Day, Tyler Day, and Molly Day. The car is comprised of sprint car style body and 600cc motorcycle engine. We normally race from the first of May to the end October, traveling to different tracks throughout the race season. Our home track is located between Mattoon and Charleston is Coles County Speedway. Beginning in the early 90’s Paul Day began his career in micro sprint racing. A sport based on family, friendships, and good racing. Amanda is Paul’s wife and mother of Tyler and Molly. Jim and Sharon Slade the parents of Amanda and grand parents of Tyler and Molly. Jim is the head wrench for Paul and Tyler. Patrick Day is Paul brother and the #1 pit man. The team also has Rick Moss our long time sponsor and friend, and Curt Deel which has been in my pit since Paul began Racing. This will be Paul’s 20th year racing; over the years Paul has seen and been part a lot of changes of this sport. A couple of those changes include Tyler Day and Molly Day.
Tyler and Molly wanted to be just like Paul and drive a race car. Tyler started in 2001 and after the first year decided that maybe racing wasn’t for him, but he made a successful return to racing in 2006 in the Restrictor Class. Tyler now races against Paul and 20 other drivers in the 600 Outlaw Class Molly just began racing last year in 2010; in her Kidwell Junior Sprint. Molly worked hard throughout last season earning her the top spot as track champion in Junior Sprint class. 3D Race Team looks forward to the 2012 race season, and setting new goals for each driver.
